i have a 94 pickup 5spd. i go to start it it goes click click. so i get it jumped. once i get it running i can turn it off.. then when i go to start it again it starts right up. about once a week i encounter this. finally, i couldnt get it jumped the "click" it made only got louder, so i had to push start it! embarrassing lol so i checked the starter and nothings wrong with it. The fact that i can start it right up after i get it jumped means something. i have no idea whats going on. Maybe a loose connection?

Have you taken the Battery to Autozone or Interstate Battery to get it tested?

starters going bad. you can take apart the starter and realign the copper contacts in the solenoid or buy a new one. i recommend buying a factory starter. autozone, pepboys, etc are cheaper but they generally only last a few months

are you for sure its the starter? i took it out, tested it, and the solenoid works fine.

its very common. take the solenoid off and look at the contacts their will be cicular wear marks on them. once they wear down the contact patch gets smaller and smaller.
