the piece of wood i think that you are talking about is on the inside and is holding nothing so it shouldnt need resin on it. As to the light and the dark i noticed that when there was wood behind it then it would turn dark if not it would change a little darker but not much no matter how much i put on it. I thought that there wasnt enough also i tested it and there is an ass load of resin on that thing. this thing is solid as a rock i was messing with it today at lunch and the whole thing inside and out it tough. i am probably going to add more to the inside but thats it. I have a little sanding to do with some strands that are sticking out but thats it.

oh and the color thing i took these pictures right after i had done that side so you can still see up the front where i had just put it on. the whole back was already dry thats why its darker.

Should you let it sit for a certain amount of time before bodywork so the chemicals have time to release? Or can you get back on it next day?
I have been waiting at least a week after doing any resin.

from what i understand supravan is he does his all in one day so i would assume so. I havent thought about it actually so i hope so cause i dont have a week haha

Once the resin cools down its fine to body work. you dont want to add filler if its still hot. should be fine after 24 hours.

Supervan- I notice that now. I had to cut all the wrinkles out and reglass the door panel where the wrinkles were. On the other door panel i'm gonna try my best to not any wrinkles in it.

Puddin-Yuor work looks really good. It doesn't look like it's your first time glassing.

I tried to get some duraglass and couldn't find nobody that sells it so I got evercoat. Is that just as good as duraglass? Ohh yeah and after this post I only have 7 more left so I gonna try not to post as much just in case something pops up and I need to ask questions or post pics. I guess it's time for me to get a membership..lol

ok its another update. last night i sanded down all the fiberglass and added some to the inside. Ahab i did use the router like you said and it worked great. The only advice i have from that is make sure you wear long sleaves haha. i wore gloves but today my arms are itching.

I also got it covered in body filler last night and tonight i am going to sand that all down and i hope just shoot some primmer sealer on it. Then in about 6 months it will be headed to lost cause for paint along with the whole truck.

anyways here are more pics.

Hey Walter i was going to tell you that in the second picture in between the top and bottom sub on that vertical area i had a fold there and just put in alot of fiberglass and then last night i smoothed it all out and i thought it turned out pretty welll.....

how are your door panels coming along. i want to see them because i may do mine.

also thanks everyone for the support considering I have never done this i think that its going pretty well.

looks really good! as far as the bodywork goes, the smoother you lay it out, the less sanding you'll have to do & you won't waste as much that just turns into dust on the floor. don't mix the filler as hot, so you'll have more of a workable time & smooth the hell out of it with your blade/spreader. i don't envy you at all after looking at what a bitch that'll be to sand out...even with a DA.

also your truck doesn't look like it will be very much fun to ride in with how tall that box is, that top sub will be firing right in your ear!!

hope that didn't sound bad...it looks really good & you're doing great! just thought i'd help make your sanding experience a little easier & tease you about how f'kn loud that will be
