the stands are fine, like someone said, check the weight first. also for the hoist, unless your shop/garage floor is perfectly smooth, spend the few extra bucks (i think like 20 or 30) & get the hoist with the larger wheels. my buddy has the one with the small wheels & the damn thing gets stuck on every damn rock/pebble. i think even a penny would stop the damn thing & it sucked. i have the one with the larger wheels (i think like 4") & it's perfect.

i can't remember which one i have, but i think it's this one:

if not it's this one...

I use a borrowed HF cherry picker. It does fine, just slow for my taste. I want to get one of my own, and put an air unit on it.

As for the engine stands, I have one of the HF ones, and two nicer ones. I reserve the HF one for short term engine storage, or something I don't care much about, because its welded together backwards. Instead of tilting the motor up to let the weight bring it closer to level, it points the motor down and it flexes far enough to pull the engine out if you don't keep the handle in. Its a joke, but it came with a motor I 'needed' years ago.
