chop top help

I need some info on how to chop a top or some links to show how. Its my first time and just need some pointers thnx

What kind of vehicle? . I'm guessing its a minitruck since you posted this in mini truckin general but a make/model would help. How far down are you going with the roof, are you going to use stock glass? You can check out ifcustom.com for some chop top pix, they have done several. If you tell us the vehicle maybe someone on here can point you to an owner profile to check out as well.

its an 86 toyota reg cab and I only wanna go down about 2 inches or so. And its just a cab I have laying around so the glass isn't a big deal

hey sport truck ran a how to section on chop tops about a year ago maybe i forgot what shop did the top but it was real detailed unlike some how to articles that most magazine print. i'll see if i can find the issue.

Brace the cab. One pointer I think that helps alot thats kinda overlooked when someone dives into a project like this is make urself a template of one sides window opening and flip it to the other side to make sure everything is even and the lines flow with the doors and front and back windows. Are you planning on laying the windshield back?
