Yes I just chatted with Chris today about his c-10.

Chris posted on another thread. They are still around. Building a merc and a few other rides ground up right now. Cary is probably too busy working to update the site.

question? when someone does a chop top, where or how do they cut down the windshield to fit back in there?is there special places that do this or wat?any help would be great

Well if you lay the front pillars back you can keep the factory winshield. Yes there are some places that will cut the glass for you now back in the day to sum this up quick they use to scribe the window put some lighter fluid on the scribed area and bend back and forth carefully to cut the glass. Now they have a film in the winshield which makes that process alot harder to do.

Every chop is different and everyone has a different way of taking on the task. Be sure to brace the cab. You should think it out completely before you ever even make the first cut. If this cab is EVER going to be on a frame you need to worry about windows! Second you have to have a good vision of where you want to be in the end. If you don't know the end, you will never figure out where to start. Third make sure that your cuts are straight in places like the A and B pillars. Stretching the roof could be in your future with this also to make the lines flow well. A Photoshop never hurts for some ideas.
