I sold it back in 04, some kid had it, he got a new ride and sold it to a friend. My old mechanic found it at an auction, apparently the starter went out and it sat at a mall parking lot till someone busted the window out and took the radio, then it got towed to the auction lot where it was never claimed. Now my old mechanic bought it at the auction. I still havent seen it. He told me the rollpan is gone, missing wheel caps, the valves are acting weird. Basically a wiring mess, the shaved doors dont work and he wants to put stock doors back on. Missing a window, radio, and some of the interior billet. Smokes really bad, prob needs 3 or 4 valves replaced or some other major motor work. Some people just dont know how to take care of shit. I am going to try to buy it back if I can convince my dad to let me store it at his house so I know its safe. lol.

exactly how mine went. had some motor issues and we were moving. didnt want to tow it so they made me take it to goodwill. they bought it, they get the money, sucks but thats the way it goes. it wasnt nice. i didnt have shit into it hardly, but it was mine in the sense i drove it everday everywhere i went. i broke down in it religiously, almost killed myself twice, "showed" at slamfest one year, and its gone. black 87 mazda in orlando. blue suede door panels and a primer patch on the lower rear pass bed corner. i want it back and would take a loan out to get it. damn if i knew where that truck ended up.

sucks though because they stuck to the idea of "you'll find something when we get up there cheaper than fixing this one"....bought a 73 super beetle with a locked motor, a 72 ford that broke 8 piston skirts, snapped a rod bolt, and basically was running on its last breath. that went for rebuild (1600 bucks), hate that truck now....now i have a 85 yota i got for free and have roughly 6-7 grand in and cant even drive/see it. im making payments on a truck i havent seen in 2 months.

i regretted getting rid of mine on the way to deliver it. But I had it on the trailor and was already an hour from home when it hit me, and I knew if I brought it back home my wife would've shot me. I wish I had just taken the chance, and brought it home. Stuck it in a storage building for however ong I needed and then I wouldn't have to wait until my fullsize is paid for befor I can cut another truck. But over the next 2 years or so, while I have no truck, I will be helping my buddy get his done, and show his with him, and learn more, so my next one will be a breeze and I will do the next one right the first time and not change 50 million things 40 million times throughout the build.

but yeah, if i had the chance to get my first one back, I would, even if I could go steal it.

this just got me thinking, and i just messaged the person who owns it now... fester bought it from me, sold it to a guy who ended up movin to TX, then he sold it in TX and the guy that bought it moved back to the Phoenix area... its the 89 in my profile. it was my first truck and i spent 3 years and about 10k building it(and it looked like shit still) but i would LOVE to get it back and finish it... we'll see what happens.....
