I heard that you can lay frame on 20's with stock arms, is this true?

i've heard you can lay 20s with all stock stuff, but thats what I have heard, don't know for sure

I would think that you would atleast need drop spindles. I haven't messed around with them alot, I prefer to stick to trucks that you can't lay out on 22's with all bolt on parts, not that theres anything wrong with that, just not my style. I like to build everything that I can but a friend of mine has one and hes wanting to bag it so i'm trying to do it in as little as time as I can because time is money.

i have layed a s-10 of mine on a 255-35-20, with drop spindles and stock upper and lower control arms.

I just had to pie cut the uppers, and de-hump the lowers and i layed out no problem.

You need drop spindles but can lay with stock arms but requires either noting the arm or alot of the frame for the lower control arm

yea pie cut the uppers and dehump the lowers and get spindles

See heres the problem, i'm hearing that you have to do nothing with the arms at all. Just cut the spring pocket out for the bag and thats all. I guess thats were i'm confused on the deal. Not that big of a deal, i'll find out soon enough.

I couldnt get mine to lay, with just triming the spring pocket, it hung up a good 2". First thing to hit was the lowers, so i de-humped them, then the upper started to bind so i cut the arm a bit to help with that, and it finally came down...

idk, i could have had the bastard truck tho... thats my luck, lol.

Im sure someone will disagree so ill say 99.9% of every s10 on the road that lays 20's with stock arms have the lowers dehumped and the uppers pie cut along with 2" spindles

Also with sd.com arms or blf arms you can lay 20's on stock spindles but the camber is similar to i beam rangers....

yeah you do have to dehump the lowers and pie cut the uppers, I just got done doing an s10 with stock arms and drop spindels and thats what i had to do to get it to lay.
