Escalade Wheels on a Colorado

My buddy has a Colorado & just picked up a set of Escalade wheels. We know they center bore has to be bored to about 110mm or so so they will fit over the center of the hub. How would you guys recommend doing this??

Machine shop? Or redneck way: burr bit or hole saw!

lol, wasn't sure if this was a machine shop only recommended thing or not. whats the going rate for something like this??

I had and 95' Isuzu that I put some Z71 wheels on, I just turned down the center of the hub so the wheel would go all the way on. I did it on a brake lathe, so maybe O'reilly's or AutoZone will do it for you???? They are kind of gay when it comes to shit like that though, liability and all.

nissan guys do it all the time with a router i think there is a couple youtube videos also

don't know if the site is still up or if it's safe. there were some viruses on it after the owner had some issues, but it is written in detail on nissanminis.com the exact type of bit you need for the router. it's very easy to do if you already have a router. all you need is the right bit.

Anyone know what bit to use??

its a 1/8 or 1/4 straight bit with the roller. i remember reading somewhere about it. all it is, is that you have 2 grooved, and your shaving down the protruding one and the bearing catches the other wall so it stays consistant. google it, you should find it fairly easy.

I read that it had to be a carbide tip. They run about $30 at the welding supply store. My machine shop only charged my freind $80 for all 4 of his, so we just dropped them off instead of doing them ourselves.

Im not to sure on the doing it your self part as to whats needed. But I know a wheel machien shop in my area does them for like 45-55 a wheel i beleive.
