I was just wondering if anyone has their bags hooked up to their alarm. A friend of mine wants to do it to his truck ,but doesn't know what type of alarm he would need, and what you do exactly.

Excuse my ignorance but why would you want an alarm on your bags

if you want your truck to dump when the alarm goes off. some switchboxs come w/ an alarm input hook up. if you want to be able to dump / lift your truck w/ your alarm remote you'd have to run the alarm output trigger wire to a relay, then out of the relay output you have to use diodes to let the output voltage to go in 1 direction, but not screw up normal valve operation. this pic is talking about door triggers, but its basically the same thing. just replace the door triggers w/ a dump valve wire. http://www.the12volt.com/12voltimages/posdoortrigs.gif if you want the truck to drop when the alarm goes off, you'd do the same as above but use a different output off the alarm.

ive done mine and ducks dually way back in 2000. any alarm will work it just depends how many outputs you have to determine how many functions you can do. if you have your switches wired to send power to your selinoids, most alarms have a negative trigger out. you'll have to connect the alarm output to the wire going to the selinoids through a relay. the relay will change the negative trigger to a positive trigger. if you cant figure it out maybe bring it to a stereo shop. thats how i learned how to do it.

Horrible idea. Alarm goes off, vehicle falls to the ground I assume is what he wants. I am completely against remote control of an air ride system. Seems like a good way for it to go off by and kill someone, or somebody's kid. My remote start goes off all the damn time by accident, I  couldn't image a 4000 lb vehicle falling to the ground by accident.   The smart thing to do would be hook a valve to his tank that drains all the air out of the tank.

My buddy has a little thing on his keys its like a remote start but he can also air up his ride with it, open the door, gps so he can locate the car if stolen and a bunch of other crap. He said the program cost about a grand though.
