narrowing rear end?

i'm wanting 2 bag my 2005 crew cab. i'm goin 2 have it done for 24's. how much would it cost to have the rear end narrowed and what is a good offset 2 have on the rims? thanks n advance

Buy the rims you want then have you rearend narrowed to fit.  That way if you want a huge dish it will fit!   I just had mine done for $500 with new axles,bearings, and seals.

I agree with Jon   But, I had mine done for $300 with new axles, bearings and sealsl...

 Not to thread jack but my buddy with a '05 Tahoe on 24s needs his narrowed. Where are you guys finding/getting this done?

I just called Sutton and they gave me an estimate of $750 to narrow mine 1.5" on both sides for my 94 silverado. What happened to $300-500?

$300-500 isn't all that realistic in CA if you are expecting axles. Thats about what I charge to do a housing, without axles. Price depends on how complete the axle is when it comes in. And if it is not a dropout third, and the gears need to be set up after the job the price will go up a lot. Gear jobs alone are in the $500 range. So $750 with the tubes narrowed and gears re-set and no axles is a reasonable price. I pretty much stick to 9" and 8" ford axles, and Toyota axles. Starting price is $800 with new axles from Moser. $600 if the stock axles can be cut down.

Ive heard of guys with fullsize chevys swapping the stock axles out for the impala axles which are narrowed and have posi. Anyone got any more info on that? Pricing?
