I pay about $150 each for a new axle from Moser, and I pay about $150 to have a pair of axles resplined if it's possible to actually respline the axle. Some are not. Bearings for a 9" HD housing run about $65 each and about $20 for a set of seals.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by R0CKSTARIve heard of guys with fullsize chevys swapping the stock axles out for the impala axles which are narrowed and have posi. Anyone got any more info on that? Pricing? ---------------------------------------------this is a great way to do the narrowed-axle swap on the 88-98 chevys. i got one under my truck.  a rear end from a 91-96 impala/caprice will swap out pretty easy, and you can find one in a salvage yard for $150-$250!  most caprices have open diffs with 11" drums, or you can find interceptor caprices or impalas with discs and posi. i think its about 1.5"-2" shorter per side than a stock pickup rear end.  its been a while, so i dont remember exactly... hope this helps!

got mine done on my Dodge last year with Moser axles from a speed shop here in San Antonio. I was told $850 worst case scenario, and guess what? It came up to $850, imagine that lol

AZ Differencial in Phoenix has my 04 Chevy rear end right now.  They're narrowing it with Moser axles, disassembling and reassembling it for $500.00 cash.
