When setting up the front in this model toyota, has anyone run into the tie rod ends binding?  If so what have you guys done to fix this?  What kind of ends can I use that might have a greater range of motion?

Still noone.  Am I trying to go too low with my control arm movement?

MINE LAYS FRAME WITH OUT DROP SPINDLES, AND NO BINDING.. BUT I ALSO HAVE A 2 INCH Z. MAYBE YOU NEED TO Z YOUR FRAME

I have never heard of anyone having any issues with this, unless you have aftermarket tierods already with limited travel ability. Stock should be fine. I have been in the toyota game for quite sometime and never heard of this.

I'm not wanting to z right now.  Maybe in the future when I do the body drop.  Right now I'm just trying to get it on the ground, quik, easy, and cheap.  It just really seams that the tie rod is binding when I get to a certain point.  I'll have to go back and check this out again.  I've just been playing with the front, trying to figure out what I'm going to do.  I'm almost ready to get started.  Thanks for the help guys.

Could you buid a new tie rod using heims with high mis alignment spacers? Not sure if this would allow more travel than stock ball joints though. Also probably not to cheap. Hope this helps in some way. JR

Master Faber,   That's what I was thinking.  I was trying to find out if anyone else has run into this.  Heims should have more travel than the stock ball joints especially with the mis alignment spacers.    Thanks alot.

sounds to me like a waste of time... Im laying on 20s with stock lowers and 2 inch spindles and no binding... Zing your frame would be much easier than making some type of custom tie rod ends not to mention the limited avalibilty if you ever break a rod end or one needs replacing.... or even better buy drop spindles..... sounds to me like your causing your self more work than nessasary.

Right.  Z'ing a frame is sooo much easier than modifying my steering linkage.  Let me think about this one.  Pull engine, cut, plate, put engine back in.  Hmmm.  I don't think it'd be easier.  Breaking a rod end... hmmm... Maybe if it was in an accident.  I'm prepairing for the build on my toy.  It'll be a very tight budget.  Things have happened in the past year and moneys real tight.  But I want to drag my truck.  I've been trying to figure out how I'm going to get it on the ground without putting a bunch of money in it.  When playing with one side of the front end it seemed the tie rod was binding.  I was just asking if anyone else has run into what I think I may have.  And if anyone did what did they use to correct this.   To the others on this post.  Thanks.
