I am doing the same to my bed and I used Evercoat Rage (body filler). I took a regular spreader and rounded one end so that I can spread it with the rounded end and it will do must of the work right there. If you do it other wise (not that there is a problem with it) you will be doing alot more sanding. If you use metal glaze like stated above and try this method you will have some problems as when you spread it the putty will flatten out due to it being alot thinner than regular body filler.Hope that helps.   Josh

well I gave it a try with filler and here is what I got so far. Its need more sanding but I like to lay down some primer just to see if its taking shape...I have never done body work before....thanks for all the input guys

I thought about doing a spray on bedliner, and if I did it probaly wouldnt need to be perfect in the corners because the spray on bedliner would cover it up.  But considering that the insides of the bed sides  meet up with the outsides of the bed sides flush I didnt no if it would look good with a bedliner in it ( what do you guys think would it look good with bedliner or no?)
