Looks fuckin sick Seth...I have a manifold like that as the front crossmember on my Dodge...I didn't want a gang of fittings in the front...and it really cleaned everything up. Very nice work man. Your tig welds are gettin flawless. I hear ya on the flu...I got the flu back in June...and Swine flu like 3 weeks ago...still havent fully recovered. Being sick sucks...

Ya I still haven't fully recovered from this one. Going on 3 weeks with symptoms now, I'm still physically exhausted a lot of the time. It's getting better every day now though.

Doing the finish work on the back half. Almost everything is painted. Spent a lot of time on the gas tank, it had to be sanded bare after stripping the grime off of it. The paint just kept flaking so I was forced to take it to bare metal, or it would just happen again in the future. Had to repair 5 holes in the air tank I found when doing a pressure test. There is a lot of dust in the shop because we are cutting and buffing a new paint job as well. I should be taking the driveline in to be shortened tomorrow, and aside from wiring/plumbing the back half will be complete.

I have been doing little things when I have time, but I am still working on other things that pay the bills. I haven't had a chance to touch it in over a week, but the valves are wired and the drive line is done. I'm trying to talk him into buying materials for a full exhaust system, his is cracked and rusted. I just finished building this:     I need to get a 3-link finished up and shipped, as well as some replacement panels for a Ford 8N, and then I can get back on this one. Hopefully until completion. It still needs a dash kit to install the head unit, as well as a 91+ core support.

I built the exhaust system for Johns truck today. Stock was 2" to the cat and then 2.25" after that. I decided to step the whole thing up to 2.50" tube with all mandrel bends, a high flow Magnaflow cat, and a Dynomax Thrush welded muffler, which is similar to a Flowmaster design. It is all TIG welded aside from the hangers and where it meets the 2" - 2.50" reducer right at the manifold. At no point does any of it hang below the frame. The closest part is when it crosses over, where it has about 1/4" of room above and below the tube. Here is a picture of the back aired out. This is as low as it goes with the bed bolted on and the wheel wells uncut. There is still about 1/2" 1" between the axle and the bump stops, so I need to cut the fenderwells up about 2 inches. so they clear in any circumstance. The last picture is if a box I made to hold the air gauges and switches for the pressure switch and manually bypassing the lights. I figure since the gauges point right up at you, lights might be annoying at times. It needs a really good wash now. There was a lot of crap under the bed liner that got on everything.
