I got the bag mounts and shock mounts finalized today. The manifold cross member is welded in.  I just need to make some brake line brackets, and compressor mounts and the back half is ready to be torn apart for some finish work and paint.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by TwistedMinisToday I built what will be both a crossmember, and an air manifold. It's sitting on top of the frame, which is not where it will end up. I need to pressure test it before I weld it to the frame. The goal is to keep the tank, compressors and valves all under the stock bed floor. I am using a "manifold" to mount the valves because the tank only has 4 ports.---------------------------------------------Nice work.....and great idea with the manifold!

I've been out sick for something like 11 days now. Swine flu was a scare for a while. Fever of 102 for 4 days straight. I'm getting back to it this week, but I'm still really physically tired.

Looking real good so far seth. Decided against using those funky axle mounts I cut on this one?

Ya they ended up being too short for this link system. I would have had to make the tab on the tank crossmember like 10 inches long, and I am afraid that is too much leverage. I thought it might start to try pulling the frame. In hindsight, I probably should have had you cut some custom lower link tabs that where really long, because then I could have used that mount. Live and learn, I'll do it on the next one.

Here is the weeks update. I got the manifold cross member welded in place, and hung some compressor mounts off of it. Then I welded in the air tank brackets now that I was sure it wouldn't interfere with the compressors. I then pulled the axle out to finish all of the welding. I started painting the frame yesterday, but Tyler is wet sanding his car in preparation for painting it next week. Dust got stuck in the paint as it was drying, so I am going to wait until he is finished with that and then sand it down and repaint the frame. The axle is also primed and ready for some semigloss on Monday. And I need to start prepping the tank for some undercoating maybe. The link bars are at a friends house getting painted silver tomorrow, so they should be ready Monday too. I can also see now in the pictures I need to figure out a way to get paint further into the notches.
