I have someone interested in buying my truck from Northern Virginia and supposedly he can't get it to pass inspection. What is require when you do an engine swap when you live there? Does the original smog crap have to be on it?

Please help, I need to sell it and it sounds like he will if he can get it to pass.

Also is there any other testing he would have to have since it is body dropped and so on?

From what some of my friends from Va have told me... it is almost impossible to get a a bagged truck to pass. People do it everyday but I don't know how, unless they know a crooked inspector that will pass anything for cash.

Yup thats what I am hearing too. Man I am glad i live where there are no inspections.

No inspection here either...Just sale it to him and let him title it where you live Krewzlo.

yeah I thought about that but then it would have to stay in my name and I don't want the responsibility.

inspections around here suck, they put everything on emisions dynos and run your car. unless you live 20 miles south of where i live then you can do what ever you want. gotta love NOVA. and if it is a newer vehicle and it throws and codes on the OBD2 reader it fails where it runs clean or not

What do they do about bags and body drops?

If I had to do that crap I would move!
