Holy crap...I tell you to put the bolt horizontal and you do it, but not very well. Why would you turn it back? You have all the travel you need out of it. You say that the axle is actually 1" higher than laid out and that you have it all the way dropped out also. So it cycles 100%. Why would you want to switch it back? Just because everyone thinks it needs to be turned to cycle the suspension, you want to turn it back? Even though you have it setup correctly now and it cycles? The "super pivot" is much stronger lateraly (the side to side pressure it sees) when mounted with the bolt vertical. Leave it turned that way, just make a nicer mount for it. Also I would bring those tubes all the way, as close as possible to the pivot. Is there are reason the wishbone pieces are so far down the center tube? You can leave the center tube that long, bring the side pieces all the way up to the pivot, then run a tube inbetween the wishbone pieces that intersects the center tube. Make sense?

Are the wishbone mount tabs on the crossmember angled to correspond to your ride hiegth? Seems like running the tabs vertically along the wall of the square tube would be easier.... Bringing the bars closer to the pivot would be better but I wonder if one would one notice a dramatic differance?

I would have just put a 4-link in it and been done, but thats just me.  There are a hundred ways to skin a cat, just find out which way works for you.  Obviously you started with the tabs vertical, why change it, because one person told you to?  The mount was attached to the cross member just fine, it would travel more than enough, and keep the rear end center.  It seems like you are making more work for yourself by turning the tabs horizontally.  You will need to redo that crossmember to get it right.  Those bushings will survive just fine.

well i decided it was a lot easier to just flip it back horizontal. This way i dont have to fool with moving that crossmember to adjust the angle on the tabs. I really appreciate the help tre5 and i will definetley keep that information in my head for if i ever try to build something else. When you first told me to put it that way on the first post i couldnt understand but now it totally makes sense. I've got everything tacked in and it seems like its all going to work fine. I have over an inch past laid out before it starts to rub the driveshaft and i think i'll get around 13" of lift. I'm going to plate the front of the wishbone with 3/16 plate, put the bags on the lower bars along with shocks on the the lower bars. Should have this all wrapped up in a week or so. Thanks again everyone for your help. Like i said before i am totally new to all of this.

on a side note i would run a gusset on each side of your cross member at the frame a lot of force will be pulling on your welds and will end up cracking five years down the road easier to do now than on the side of the road later every thing else looks great keep up the good work and keep us updated
