When you order your windshield tell them that you want one for a 1991 and its a gasket set style. and you need a new gasket.  It will install just like a backglass and you get a rubber mldging all around the glass.

cool then i will try that..the dealership wants $350 for a whole trim set so this should be cheaper.

Yea I just got my 85 yota done at the dealership. Not sure if the molding are the same but they were hard to find. I also had the dealership install it for me to. They called me up and told me that they were not going to be able to do it without breaking the windshield. I got all new moldings and a new windshield installed with in 2 days.  The molding cost me just like you said around $350 and then installation cost $180.

84-88 have 8 pieces of stainless metal trim, hard to come by & expensive, think the later trucks have a rubber seal all the way around! And I've been told they don't inner change!

i personally do not like the gasket style rubbers, The windshields are urethaned in, so I would much rather have either a black, chrome, or painted to match trim.

I know for a fact that they will interchange cause I have it done to my truck. And a good glass guy will allways put some urathane in on a gasket set windshield. Or atleast mine did both times and when my hood came threw the windshield I had no problems with it poping out.

the said gasket that your glass guy changed was NOT  a rubber set like your back glass, it was just universal moulding wrapped around the window ane glued in. i do this alot for guys who lose/dent trim, if you gat a good glass guy tell him its a FW598 and you want either T107B moulding or a 20mm wrap either one will work. the 107 sits nicer then some other companies products but has a duller finish then say a creative/sika etc... i am a seasoned auto glass guy and like i said have done this swap many times. this should save you lotrs of time considering most shops dont charge extra, if the shop is a large one they def, shouldnt. not to mention the 350$ or whatever it was from the dealer.
