what would be the best size wheel and offset needed to tuck on a 96 dodge ram.  im looking for 20s or 22s

I'm not sure but I think you want at least a 35mm offset. You should be able to tuck 20's fine will little to no camber, but you will probably have a little bit of camber for 22's. It just depends on how you lower your truck and the width of your rims.

i would like to tuck 22s but don't want to have to do extreme bodywork to make it fit. i want to keep it simple. maybe i will go with 20s. it will be cheaper but i think it looks weird with the wheel wells being so big.                what size width do you think would be good?

You can get 22's to fit without having to do body work as long as your width and offset is correct. I would try to get 22x8.5 in front if you can. I have 22x9.5 with a 4/6 drop on my 2000 Ram and I can't go any lower because of the width and offset. I think mine is 15mm offset. If I had a little more room, it would be lower but right now I would be hitting my fenders.   Yes that is a 4/6

22x9.5  POSITIVE 24 OFFSET . . . . HAD TO NARROW THE REAR END BUT THEY TUCK FINE WITH MY KAMBER. . . . ID GO WITH AT LEAST A POSITIVE 25 OR HIGHER IF YOU KAN FIND THEM. . . . LOOK INTO DIABLO WHEELS THEY MAKE THIS ONE WHEEL THAT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD THAT HAS A REALLY HIGH OFFSET. . . . OR YOU COULD JUST BUY MY WHEELS LOL <a href="http://s170.photobucket.com/albums/u269/twanky2inchram/?action=view&current=Pandemonium08-171.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u269/twanky2inchram/Pandemonium08-171.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

if you don't have money and don't want to have to do a lot of work, you should not have started with a dodge...see how much work you have to do to tuck a 22x 10.5 with a 4 in bodydrop...good luck...u r gonna need it...

http://www.bossmotorsports.com/custom_chrome_wheels.cfm?id=350 Wheels aren't too expensive and come in a 5 on 5.5 with a very high offset  for that bolt pattern in the 22x9. Just search around, the wheels are out there, just gotta find them.

thanks for the info. i started by having a stock dodge and being really bored. i never had the chance to get into the whole minitruckin thing even though i always wanted to. i was in the army and since i was 17 ive only been in the states for like 11 months total and its been five years since i joined. i thought i would never get back from iraq.  but i just recently got out and now im trying to get into this hobby. ive shaved my doors and tailgate. and never bagged anything before but i want to do everything myself. i dont ever want to take my truck to the shop.  thanks for everyones help.
