heres mine its pretty easy basically cut your hole insert the lens provided glue in place from the back side and sand the lens flush with the surface you are putting it in if you need to build the lens up to meet the primer tape the primer and add multiple layers of clear till the surface is flush and block it flat with the primer

so how do you paint though? there is your way.  which you would mask off the lens right?and then there is the way where it is actually painted over top of the lens and it is completely buried under paint then when it lights up it shows. am i right on this?

From what I know of that the ones painted over are usually a Kandy. My brother painted a friends siverado kandy green and painted right over the tailliights and they look like a shadow in the bodyline until he hits the breaks or turn signal. Im too retarded to post pics but they are on myspace.com/graphikkontentstudio

yes you can mask off the lens the other way is tricky and you MUST use a candy or transparent color type best bet is to check with your paint store to see which colors are transparent be careful though theres nothing like having the ghost idea for the lens and painting it and being screwed!!! ps. if you go the candy route get ready to fork out a lot of $$$$ cause only a hand full of companys have candy one being house of kolor and thats some big bucks

also remember if you go the base clear route you tap your light paint your base then un tape and spray your clear to seal it all together and the trick to getting it flat together again is blocking the clear till its flat and color sanding
