WTF Cali...

So according to the Calendar here there are only 4 shows in California this year. I CALL BULLS#!T, why aren't we telling all our friends and associates to get thier shows posted here ASAP? Hell with things being what they are, you would think that we would be using all avenues available to post an upcoming show!!!  I can think of 4 shows right off the top of my head that are supposed to be happening in the months to come that aren't posted here. Hell 2 of the 4 shows that are posted have already happened. Lets get on the ball and post our shows here!

I agree Speedy. The more people get on here and hype up there show the better the turn out is going to be. Flyers help but not always. I know when I would go to shows back in the day show promoters would walk the show talking to people about what they were getting ready to get into and getting the word out there for people to attend. 9 times out of 10 I would go out of my way to try and make that show with or without my ride to show some respect for what they are trying to do as a scene. Bob has done that and continues to do that....that is why people make treks out to his shows. David Macdonld did it when he first started putting Texas Heat Wave together and I remember him being at shows all over texas talking to people and handing out flyers. It worked because for years the heat wave was a very sic show and not it PR's itself.   Bottom line......post the shows so people can get a chance to make plans to attend!

I can lend yall John Salas to whore up all the threads once they are posted...Look at all the TX show threads on here. They are 20 or 30 pages each and not by accident.

Some times they are mis categorized with wrong state.  Make sure the drop down for correct state is selected. 

Yeah I just had to go do that with the Cruizin for Kidz show, guess it didn't stick the first time I did it.

Just move to Texas, we're right in the middle for all the best shows!!

another problem is alot of the grounds in cali are ran by people who want an arm and a leg (sometimes literally) and the return on a 1st run/annual  show isnt always a money gain. that brings up another key point, some people arent in it for the scene, they want money. even BOB HASE has said they (SUNSET) has lost money on the never forgotton RESOLUTIONS but he and the club have love for the scene and its people. i just caught wind of HAVOC fresno cancelling and thats after being said 'WELL BE BACK FOR SHURE NEXT YEAR". i guess sometimes good things are easily taken from good people........

I hear ya slappy, sucks but all the Havoc Shows are CANX! I was really looking forward to the one in San Dimas too, I was curious to see who it would bring out. Supposedly Blooddrag SoCal may not go either, but I have yet to hear more on that one, ya out there Eddy, what's the scoop on that? All this is one of the big reasons I'm trying to kick off Cruizin' for Kidz ( http://www.streetsource.com/forum/topic.aspx?topic_id=110504&Topic_title=Cruizin'+for+Kidz&forum_id=46&forum_title=Shows%2fEvents ) this year. We'll see how it works out, but I'm hoping for the best as I'm trying to do this not just as a Mini-Trucker event, but more all inclusive. We'll see what happens, I'll keep ya'll posted for sure though!  Enough about that though, where are all the SHOW PROMOTERS promoting the shows, I thought for sure if I called 'em out they would fix this madness. Lets go all you Cali folks, get on here and post up your shows!

go on truckrun.net their is a ton of shows coming up in cali in the next few months. At our meeting last week we talked about at least 8 shows that are upcoming.  Ernie

What are they?

The only ones that I know of that are not on the calender her is the Thumbs-up cruise in show in Windsor... This one is a small local show with no trophies or anything like that, just a get together for car enthusiasts of all kinds, hopefully more Minis that anything haha.

Also the Characters Connected show in Penngrove... I don't know if they have a date nailed down yet, but it was a good show last year, and looks to be bigger this year.
