so before my question id like to mention im not swapping the front clip haha...but my question is what would you reccomend as far an end joint for the beams where they mount under the engine, im sure as you know, when the beams lift to drop the truck they rotate back towards the firewall thus straining the bolts through the bushings...im afraid after a little while the bolts may snap, i was thinking maybe cutting off the bushing and welding in a bung and then threading in a heim with misalignment spacers?...is there anything else out there any better? what ever i put in there can only be 2 inches wide to fit into the i beam mounts...if you could include pictures or links to a website with whatever you would reccomend id appreciate it

I want to do something with the ends of my ibeam mounts too, me and my brother were thinking the heim idea, but what about using a johnny joint? it would be nice and flexible

i thought about those, ive always heard them called super pivots but i may be wrong, however tho i think they are too wide to fit inside the tabs that the beams mount to

I really dont see why some ranger guys are so stubborn on the ibeam thing. Your front suspension sucks for bags, face it. haha. A superpivot/johnny joint will likely be too wide. I think they are generally 2.5" to 2 5/8. You really dont need an adjustable end though, so a rod end (heim) may not be needed. Personally I would see if one of these will work with a pair of spacers. http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Uniball-Bearing-2125quot-OD-w-10quot-bore_p_1614.html  The high misalignments will be too wide but you might be ok with just a standard stepdown spacer which will knock the 1" bore down to 5/8 or 9/16". http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Stepdown-Spacers_c_86.html

a friend of mine also suggested those from ballistik and they were also too wide

They will be too wide with high misalignments yes. But probably not with a small stepdown spacer like I posted.

Just run a heim and get spacers machined to fit your application. Heims work perfect for I-beam setups. You could also use them on the radius arms.

do you think they will allow enough rotation without binding

yes, for sure. You could have whatever taper on the spacer you want. The only limiting factor is the width of your mount. 2" should be plenty, depending on what size heim you use.

do you think the uniballs previously reccomended will allow enough rotation
