---------------------------------------------Originally posted by cheeseHERE IS ANOTHER SIK C-10 I WOULD LOVE TO PARK AT MY HOUSE!! LOL! THE STANCE AND WHEEL CHOICE MAKES IT LOOK BAD! WE SAW IT AT GOODGUYS A FEW YEARS BACK. IF ANYONE HAS ANY OTHER PICS OF IT, I WANT TO SEE THEM!!---------------------------------------------

I took a ride in this thing while we were in Arkansas last year and it was the best riding bagged truck I had ever been in. an inch off the ground everywhere and you wouldnt be able to tell you were riding in a 40 year old truck.

The Crew Cab along with alot of variations were not built by GM. They were all built by outside coach builders then sold through the dealers as special orders. The main suppliers were Stageway (Ambruster), Automotive Industries, Crown, D.E.K. and Alton Manufacturing to name a few. They all had different styles mainly with the space of the cab and style of the doors. To my knowledge, no one knows exaclty how many were built period they are rare yes. There is a gentlemen close to me that have been trying to buy a 65 Crown body Crew Cab C60 for about 5 yrs. The one pictured on page 9 (if an original cab) appears to be a Stageway (Ambruster) body by the shape of the rear door. Also, I have only seen one. But Stageway(Ambrsuter) Coaches actually made an 18 passenger coach model built on a C30 platform. Imagine a 65 Suburban/Carry All stretched to 5 doors on one side.
