got a new job,so its time to upgrade my camera so i can get more serious about this. give me some recomendations on a good camera..i have a nikon coolpix 4300 so i want something better then that lol.I was looking at a few today at wal mart,i know its not the best place to buy a camera..but hey i work there and get a discount haha. heres some that i was interested in.

i know thats a few to look at,but im tryin to get good opinions and really dont wanna be dissapointed. im leaning towards a nikon myself,b/c i absolutely love the pictures i take with my 7 year old camera lol. anyways,lets hear some opinions,see some pics from said camera ect. O,im also lookin to get this soon,so help me out guys lol.

im a nikon fan, i have the D40. its a good pic taker!

Go with the Nikon D40. SLR is amazing. I have a Canon SLR and the options to upgrade lenses, flashes, etc is unlimited. I also recommend the book SLR for Dummies if you get it!

But also depends if you want and SLR or all in one before getting into an SLR, plus look at the accessories like lenses you would have to buy for an SLR.  Just stuff to think about. Lot of photographers I've seen use Cannon SLR's.

looks im gonna be gettin the d40. im a nikon fan also so im sure i wont be dissapointed. it also comes with a basic lens,how good are those?
