The owner of West Coast Customs "was" a minitrucker. I know for a fact. But when me and Mike Alexander went there to do a story on the shop, he wouldnt even give us the time of day. We wanted to get some pics of them and they said they would have their "people" send us some photos. I think even if Jesse James liked minitrucks at one time he would deny it now. But i do beleive he likes fullsizes since hes had a few. Another thing is he has hired a shitload of minitruckers. at least 5 that i can think of including Alex the shop manager for a long time. He owned a shop and is in Negative Camber. Ben Wood worked thier, he built the orange toyota with the tilt bed that was on the cover. I know of a lot of famous people that are into cars, such as Travis Barker and such, but that doesnt make them minitruckers. I remember Travis going to the Forbidden Fantasy show and not even taking a second to look at a single truck. Hes a more of a classic car guy. Rampage doesnt like minis from what ive heard, he knows Eddy Cebreco really well. he just likes his big as lifted truck. James Hetfiled or Hatfield or whatever from Metallica is really into Kustoms, hes had a few. I think if he ever built a truck its only because it was free or used as a promotional vehicle. Im sure he aquired the truck for free, the parts and probably the labor. One of his cars was at Bio Kustumz not to long ago. And i know a handful of other minitruck shops have touched his cars, but its only because Rick Dore is the designer and project manager for his cars and Rick Dore, who is very famous in the kustom scene has built a few minis and compacts. As a matter of fact he's built quiet a few SEMA cars. But the truth is guys like him only build these vehicles because they get them for free or close too.
