I didnt say he had to, I was answering the question he asked about the wire that lost power in the start position. Now if you ask me, he should keep this feature (easy to do with relay logic) because when you crank the starter you are essentially grounding the 12v supply wire, applying the ground throughout everything that is connected at that time.
