I have the chrome one from AVS and it is loud as hell. I yanked the valve and replaced it with a half inch GC valve and half inch line. Now before anyone slams me for having it, IT IS NOT HOOKED UP TO MY HORN BUTTON! As a matter of fact, I dont even have a switch to honk it at all... haha I wired it to my alarm system to sound if the glass is broken, or if a door is opened. I park my baby outside, and if someone wants to jack me, they will get one hell of a suprise. But as far as having them for daily honking and road rage, I think its more of an annoyance than anything else. I HATE it when people get into "Horn Wars" at shows... But as was stated before, its your cash and your truck, so do what makes you happy bro...

I go to SEMA to rep siege engineering and don't think you'll find a better horn for your application check out the strategic series its really nice when your working with space constrictions, you can mount the trumpets seperately... the only thing that will be able to be louder than the strategic series is a nathan or leslie (real train horn) which run at least a couple g's if I'm not mistaken And to touch on all those who are opposed to train horns, I agree on the annoyance factor of long exsposure to a horn happy guy with a new horn but heres an idea for those of you considering a horn in the future why not wire it up independently of you existing horn so its something that can be used seldomly vs. as your sol horn ? mines on a toggle switch i can switch the stock horn button on the steering wheel between the stock one and my siege horn...

Yes whatever you do, do hook up a independent toggle or ball valve. Keep the stock horn!

I think the best train horns are found on trains. That's my dumb opinion.
