i want to get rid of the i beams on my 87 ranger whats the best front clip to use? iv herd of toyota and a mustange 2?

Toyota will be your best bet. Mustang 2 kits are generally just a crossmember kit, which would be a pile of work to adapt to your ranger. With the yota, just swap frame clips.  84-95 toyota is what you would want.

mounting the steering up, but that can be acheived with universals. also the rails of the yota clip sit about 2.5 inches below the top of the ranger rails, so some good metal work will need to be done.

nothing wrong with mustang ii clips either setup will work great.

I would probably narrow a Toyota clip a bit to match the stock track width, since Toyota's are slightly wider and will change the offset you need to run. I still don't like MII setups. For the amount of travel you would need on a BD Ranger, a MII just won't cut it. I would go Toyota or scratch built over MII any day. Clipping a Ranger would be cleaner too, just because of the frame design.

well the yota rails by the control ars ar aboue an inch narrower then the ranger rails.

thanks for all the info on the clip question today i noticed as i droped the back of my while i was driving there was aloud noise like somthing was rubing so when i got home i put my truck on jacks and i found that my drive shaft was rubbing on the rear of my body is this normal for it just being bagged?
