--------------------------------------------- Originally posted by tre5 Actually I have been aproached by Sport Truck to do a tech article, then the very next day SSM hit me up to do one. I will probably do my next vehicle (if I can make up my mind what I want) for a SSM tech article. I am supposedly doing a 2008 Yukon in the near future and that will be the Sport Truck article. --------------------------------------------- Hell yeah ill be looking forward to such articles! Im sure that everyone else will be too!

I KNOW FROM EXPERINCE NOT WITH JUST ONE BATTERY BUT 6 OF THEM. CABLE CAME OFF ONE ONETIME AND BLEW A HOLE IN THE THING...... ALSO WHY DO PEOPLE CONTINUE TO USE MARINE BATTERYS?  THERE NOT MADE TO BE DRAINED AND CHARGED ALL THE TIME????? NOT HATEING I LOVE THE WORK BUT JUST WONDER WHY THEM BATTERYS FOR????????

I have used those batteries several times. Never had any of the problems you listed, so I will continue to recommend them if people can't afford Kinetiks. Kinetiks are always my first recommendation, they are the shit and work great on hydraulics.

Interesting how no matter what build, people always question us doing the right thing, or using the right parts as if we haven't done this a million times by now.   Marine batteries are typically deep cycle and in this case the starting have the most CCA's.  And Jeremy's fingers are put through a daily vigorous workout by typing so much on these posts every day that he has developed strong enough finger muscles to tighten those wingnuts to where they won't come loose.   I don't have too much experience with the Kinetiks other than the 4 people that I know who are using them currently for hydraulics and everyone seems to love them.  They seem to last a lot longer than the optimas ever did between charges.

Ya know you can use a wrench on wing nuts to tighten them a little more than you can with your fingures... The Kinetiks won me over in my Mazda. They were more responsive and lasted longer in between charges. We are also now an authorized dealer for Kinetik, so let us know if you are looking into batteries we will get you a great price.

great looking work Jeremy would a setup like this work for my 68 dodge d200 that I want to use to pull my ranger with or is that too much stress?
