What car to buy???

If that lady don't budge on that Jag there's always a Q45. I know they are McPherson and you don't want that though. But...   

i say save the money and get the x type unless the only real difference other then the 3 liter and 4 liter is that the ford mondeo frame is mcpherson, its a little shorter and might be a little too tight for your height but way cheaper.  go with the jag, thats what you have been saying you want anyways. and by the way i think Mir and GSP will win.

I don't really see a need to eliminate strut cars from your choice. You could always ditch the strut and build some spindles and upper a-arms. You have the technology.

Hey Jeremy as far as jags i was a service advisor for Jag for a little bit, if you get the s-type, get anything 03 and above.... before that the transmissions sucked and went out real early(like 60-80k), and EVERYTHING rattles inside, brakes every 10-15k miles, and you cant resurface rotors, you have to replace them everytime...

Hah!  BTW I think you have some type of bias cuz you did post this in foreign cars.  I'm a cadillac fan! like the newer style sts (except for the taillights). A6!!!! The woodgrain in the jag is plain ugly. I still like that E320 wagon that was on CL the other day.
