What I am asking is that if anyone knows if 26's will fit on the rear of a 98 stockfloored Chevy without having to cut the bed rails so they will go through.

Easiest way to find out is to find the smallest 26" tire size and with a tire calculator, see how tall it is.  Then just measure you bedside height.
