So lately ive been slow at the shop, been working under dad over the past few years and i feel the need to move out and go it on my own. Over the past 2 months ive been to a dozen shops looking and theyre either just overpriced or not adequate to build trucks in... hell one of the shops owners said he didnt want a "kid" in his shop. So lately i just havent been digging life much, this morning i rolled out of bed at 1pm, drug ass around the house for a few hours then got my hair cut. While i was out i figured id swing by an old rodder friends shop and see how things are agoin for him. Long story short i start monday on a 32 ford roadster

Hes basicly given me the opportunity of a lifetime, hes been slowing down over the last 5 years due to his age and said if he had a young guy around to bust ass 9-5 he could focus on the "business" part and hopefully get the name back up there. We will build several of these 32 fords at first, but he said we can do anything really. He really liked the 59 apache i did and wants to do at least one of them with this newfangled air suspension setups. I even asked him about doing a 65 caddy and hes got 1 in a field. He seems as excited to have me on board as i am to be there.

Im not getting out of minis, if i can even prove one will be as profitable as one of these roadsters he will allow me to build it in the shop. Mabey even get him into building one of these 6 wheeled thingamajigs as a shop truck?

Im still doing the lazer cutting, thats like my 5-9 after my 9-5. He even talked like he wants me to sart making "rod inspired" pieces and mabey one day get them in some kind of parts catalogue. Im so excited to get started, for the first time in awhile i WANT to work. All i know is for the first couple months hes gonna have to kick me out at 5 when he wants to go home haha.
