if you are going to take it to a shop don't touch it.I know I would feel much more comfortable starting with something untouched. Plus, a shop may be hesitant to do 90% of a bag job knowing that they have no control over the last 10% of the work. Even though they would have no problem doing a nice job on your frame, you are going to tell people where it was done and there name will be attached to the entire job, not just the frame.

True. I've done a couple metalwork only jobs for guys, but only for people I know well enough to trust they will do a good job. Other than that its usually all or nothing. I guess I can see your point on that bobby. Its not always easy to explain to the customer the differences in bagging different kinds of trucks. I couldnt do it the way you do though, personal preference I guess.

Who said that this guy was going to have it done by a shop that works on trucks? I had a friend who hired a welder to come over with his welding truck, showed the guy what to weld were, and let him burn it in. The welder probably didn't know the first thing about bagging a truck, but the owner of the truck did, he just couldn't weld.

---------------------------------------------wow, I could not imagine that ever going well. How did it turn out?

Miniz2001, Find a shop close to you and talk to them before you do anything man. I cant remember the last time that we "finished" any job that someone else "started" (suspension or audio) and saved the customer money. It's fun and feels great to have a part in the building process but talk to a shop first, it will save in the end.
