                                              Not 100% sure, but I think he is talking about something like this. I am building a firewall back frame for an x-cab frontier and this is how it's done.

 Don't ask any questions about anything that isn't related to this thread till the truck is all done then I will explain what's going on if you still have questions.  You can see the bars that intersect the bag crossmember and the driveshaft crossmember have another bar tied to them under the cab, those bars run to the corner of the frame and the carrierbearing crossmember making a triangle out of that area of the frame thus the frame stiff enough when you lay the truck out to keep the bed gap tolerable.

Thanx for the pic and all the info Max. I think I would be able to fit a truss similar to the one pictured without too much struggle, there is a good amount of room under the chevys cab below the seat to run truss bars. I'm excited to get started on it now. Thank you for your input as well Joel, your frame is looking really good. I will hopefully have a cutting order for you in the near future for the truck in question here.
