Ok, I understand 2,3,4 links. But I have never seen a 2 link set up like this. Would the dogbones behind the axle actually help solve some of the pinion issues that come with a 2-link? What is the advantage of these smaller links? Someone plz explain to me how this is working?

looks to me like its made that way to dial in the pinion angle at ride height

it makes it so the pinion angle is adjustable, and the 2 link is rubber mounted instead of solid mounted to the rear end. i dont think it would affect the way the pinion angle changes through travel though, the only way to minimize that is to make the bars longer.

Looks simple and brilliant to me. It appears that it is just a way to get 4 mounts off of only 2 bars which, in turn, keeps the axle from rotating without having to use a set of upper bars. Looks like what I was running through my brain to use on my 49 Chevy to keep floor and trunk floor cutting to a minimum. Guess it obviously works.

Being mounted to the diff with bushings like the one pictured would allow for a small amount of side articulation forn the axle when entering driveways etc. You won't get this on a standard 2 link that is fastened to the axle with U bolts or is welded on. The dogbones will allow you to dial in the pinion angle for your drive height but you will still get change in the angle as the suspension cycles through its range of travel.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by lost causewhats that on--------------------------------------------- It's on a 62 Galaxie I found on Ebay! I can't get the rest of the pics off of the site for some reason, But here is the link. Not posting this as SPAM just reference! If anyone can get the pics posted here I will edit and delete the link. I am really interested because my car has the same chassis and I dont want  to cut up the trunk. looks like it will save alot of room.
