I know this is "off topic" and I apologize to Jay, AND I'm sure alot of people won't have my same thought process as I do (For the record this isn't directed at any one person, but more so at our own culture and how most of the people in our seen view things), BUT....if the guy likes that color, what's the big deal about him using the same thing?   I think that when we talk about customizing trucks, maybe paint and very few suspension mod's (with the exception of what Aaron Iha puts out) are about the only things left that aren't copied.  For instance,  if you decide to lower your truck with spindles and drop blocks  (been done a long time ago by someone before you and I), you bag your truck (been done before), you bodydrop your truck (been done before), you do an engine swap (been done before), you suicide your doors (been done before), you see where I'm going with this?  So in essence, we have all in one way shape or another have copied someone or their ideas exactly or to some degree, etc, etc, etc......  So for Jay not to be talked about "that he copied", he has to use a little more of a black tint in his paint as so not to copy the other guy?  I don't get it nor do I understand that thought process.  If the guy likes the color and he is paying for it (and this goes for the rest of his truck not just paint), shouldn't he be allowed to do that without people saying he is just copying????????   Aren't we being hypocritical?  Feel free to hate me or my views....you won't be the first......and you don't have to worry about me saying you copied someone else by hating me first....lol......But I would like some feedback.

Sik, not really meant toward you.  I have seen this type of thing in many, many threads on here.....and yes I had been holding that in a while.....and true, even if you have the paint code, it is not going to be an exact match.......all true.  I feel you on everything you say......that's why I said "maybe paint"....cause we all know that there can be a ton of different shades to just one color.....just similar styles that may look like they've copied.....  Important left out fact not posted above...I found a flame job that I like off another dually I'm going to go with and I'm sure people will say I copied... Weeks ago, I talked to the painter and he says the same thing that you do he will put his own style to it to make it unique and my own...... I guess that's why it hit home when reading this thread today and I posted.....no harm no foul

lol.  i just wanted to know what color it is.. lol  i wasnt trying to start a forum war!!!! hahahaha...  but i understand what your saying sik.  I've been thinking about doing a lighter blue for a while and Ive been compiling different paint chips to compare..  and see which one i like more...  i know that it prolly wont be the same as the pic and thats perfectly fine just like the shade of blue... kinda like the light blue on the honda fit.  light blue with some great metallic and at looks kinda pearly...  its a far cry from the norm of what i like but this would go n my daily and not my taco that im building.   i liked the idea of an oem color and didnt know if that truck was the same.  i prolly shouldve been more clear about the information i was looking for.  lol    but sik keep up the great work ive seen it in person and your great.  and again sure wasnt trying to start any kind of a pissing contest...jay houk
