I was looking at similar insurance for my c10. my only dilemma is that I looked at it a few years ago and you could only drive like 3000 miles a year with one of those policies. I beleive that was through Grundy. any of you guy run into mileage restrictions? I like driving my ride, just not every day

well I applied for Grundy again and now they said they won't write me a policy because I am under 25. what kinda horseshit is that? I goota wait until I'm middle aged before I can have a "custom vehicle"?  I get so aggrevated with the stupid politics of it all. I want to just build my truck and drive the damn thing without having to pay a retarded amount just to put the thing on the road

wow I need to look into this, cuz I am paying a little over $450 a year just for liability, and I worry about all the other dummies everytime I hit the road.

you'd be covered. that would be considered "in use" . They know you are going to go to shows and they know it won't be in a locked garage at that point. The purpose of the statement of use is that they don't want you to use the vehicle as a daily driver.

--------------------------------------------- if your not driving it, its not "in use" leaving it outside overnight at a hotel parking lot would more than likely be a huge cop-out for them not to pay. they wouldn't put a clause on there about it having to be stored in a locked area (such as garage or trailer) when not in use if they didn't plan on enforcing it. the answer I got from hagertys when I talked to them is if it was outside, overnight, then it was not covered, regardless of where I was or what I was doing. it's worth the extra $150 a year for mine to be covered at all times regardless of locations, weather, mileage, etc. if you plan on going with ANY company make sure to ask questions about when it is/not covered. Don't take mine or any other joes advice because we aren't insurance agents
