that firestone bag was prob mounted on the front or at an angle on the rear. it causes the bag to bulge to one side and eventuallu starts tearing looks like yours. and yes u can overextend ( by their standards) a bag from their stated useable range of travel. im not calling u out by any means cuz ive had my firstones do the same thing. never leaked but did get me worried. ive had almost every brand so far and they all have their drwbacks. gladd he took care of your slams for you man.

slams are great. I have run nothing but them ever since the first time I bagged my blazer and had problems with airlifts (which Corey at airlift did hook me up and took care of me when I did have a problem) and I reccomend everyone that comes to me to get slams. the ride quality and lift and awesome. but I will say I have been very impressed with the new airlift dominators. I am installing some on an isuzu now so i will see how they compare  also another trick I have heard from several owners, to help slams last longer, armor all them every so often. helps keep the rubber moist and keeps them from splitting or dryrotting

armor all has a tendency to dry things out, i never use that stuff it can cause dashes to crack and other stuff.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by fredstintingthe firestone bag pic i posted should be a defected and replaced by firestone but the company decided to be and ass and have engineers decide what the out come of the warranty should be once you called them with a problem and 100% of the time you get nothing but a ass tellling you operator error so they dont have to make a warranty claim   to me what good is there warranty if you can't get it warranty  ill sell only contitech for now on    ---------------------------------------------

you need grammar classes. We have installed over 1000 slam bags and have only had 2 that were defective, and both of those were taken care of by Tim and the guys at Slam, never had an issue othere than that.  The ones that were defective leaked out of the ports.

not trying to be an ass but i think it should be said...why would you post a topic called "slam specialties problem" before you even got a reply from slam specialties? saying "not bashing the company" or later saying "i reccommend slam bags" is not going to take back all the people that read that you were having problems with them.this thread was a waste, it makes slams look bad, when they are taking care of the problem...i use slams, over 3 years same bags in the rear no problems. i changed the my font set from re6 to re7s for more lift with less air, neither set has had any problems.
