A forum member brought up a good point I would like to point out. Here is his post. In my opinion any group should band together in the event they lose a member or a friend, its just Minitrucking can be such a broad spectrum, its not as clear cut as other associations.Say some kid goes out on Teh eBaiz and buys himself a nice show-winner and in the process of taking it home hits some switches and rolls it into a ditch, dying. Is he and his family considered to restitution under the policies? Who determines? What happens if the family gets pissed because they disagree with the decision?Somebody builds themselves a Mazda, their Blood, Sweat, and Beers/Tears go into it, they punish the asphalt for years, completely absorbed into the lifestyle, no question to them being a "Minitrucker." One day, life hits, Sadie is pregnant again and that bad-ass truck isn't exactly a Family Hauler. Taking responsibility he sells his pride and joy, to buy a more family friendly car, and just never quite make sit back to the lifestyle. over time he lets his magazine subscriptions run out, his club and friendly get togethers are passed up to spend time with the kids, and the wife, life moves on. Let's say one day he's headed home from the office and bam, cement truck. Is he covered still? Doe she get restitution as he was obviously with out a doubt a minitrucker at one time?I don't disagree, nor am I preaching against this idea, I'm just curious how these issues will be handled, when there's funds for fallen Police Officers or firefighters there's no real question if they receive their restitution or not, being and officer or a firefighter isn't something you just decide to do and suddenly you are, there's training and paper work to back up that you were in fact an officer.I suppose I've opened the can of worms known as "What Is a Minitrucker?" but if there's a group handing restitution over, they will t least have to have a definition that they wills tick to for it...
