---------------------------------------------Originally posted by rrrmarieI dont know anything about Jason or Jance. Im only going off what ive been reading on here about both guys. My husband is the minitrucker not me. I just come on here and browse once in a while. When I read this thread when Jance first posted it a couple months back, I thought it was a little girlish on Jance part.My girlfriends and I read the whole thread word for word, and we came to the conclusion that Jance is a whiner shit starter. He didnt go about this whole thing the proper way.And we all think his trunk tonneu idea is gayer than Mike Jones in a thong.---------------------------------------------   Girlish? He got his truck back and money. Most guys dont get either! All done with out phyical violance too. Sounds like a manly thing to me! Also if you dont care for his tonneau gate don't buy it. 60 year old men have more money than you do anyways so let them buy it and enjoy a nice and different invention. (P.S. Don't post a yearly figure of your income because none cares!)

Jance-I feel for you loss of time, money, and not getting your truck completed when expected, however I can't help but think of the old saying "fool me once your fault.  Fool me twice my fault."Several years ago I dropped off a truck to get painted.  I went back two weeks later to check the progress and it had not been touched.  Not a big deal, I talked to the manager and he stated it would be stripped in the next two weeks guaranteed.  So I followed up a week later and my car was still sitting there.  I went home got my trailer, came back, and loaded it up.  It ended up getting painted at another shop, they did an awesome job and it was a happy ending. Point is- find a shop,if they say it will be done by.??.  hold em to it.  Be reasonable but don't get kicked in the nuts over and over...

Just my opinion and experience... I have known the Hill's crew for years and never had any problems with them. That is all that I am saying.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by ERIC-B---------------------------------------------Originally posted by rrrmarieI have been following this thread for weeks, and kinda biting my tongue. I read the whole script from Jance, and guess what.......I have no pity for him. He is the stupid fuck for allowing all this to happen for 40 months. All you guys on here is backing this Jance idiot up, and really you dont know the whole story. At least Jason is mature enough to not even come on this little childish site and belittle himself.I believe every story has two sides to it. Jance....you come across to me as a little whinning, girly, bitchass queer fuckhead. And a snitch bioch. Why dont you cowboy up ? I bet when your socalled dream truck is completed, none of these guys on here will even purchase that gay looking tonneu cover truck lid bullshit. Thats some shit that maybe a 65 year old retired old fart will purchase. Honestly guys..........how many of you would really rock trunk tonneu bullcrap on your truck? You would be the laugh at any show if you rolled in with that trunk tonneu crap. So stop bashing Jason man,im tired of you whinning about it.All you guys on here act like bitches, and im a woman...............thats really sad.I hope this new shop fuck your truck up even more Jance because your a little snitch bitch.--------------------------------------------- Jason why did it take you so long to reply?--------------------------------------------- HAHA nah, this is the "lawyer" that called Jance....    ***Cough*** Jasons wife ***Cough***

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by Buckysheezythe truck (cab and chassis) were taking to the shop december 13th 2008 at the new hills shop.  there is even a picture of the truck being delieverd with the bare metal frame at the new shop that wasnt open in 2006. he took the fenders and bed in 2006.  so there ya go brotha.  so how is jason supposed to build the truck of this dudes dreams, without the truck?  i mean he does good work but he isnt a magician. ---------------------------------------------You could not be more wrong Marty. December 13th, 2008 was the Open House. You were there...  I took my truck to him on January 31st, 2009 at the new shop. I took him my DOORS and BED in 2006 to his old shop. Not sure why you said FENDERS if you know your facts? Have you ever had H.H.R. do a complete build for Sema for you? I regret "parting" out my truck to him and I will explain this later on again...  ---------------------------------------------Originally posted by Cheese there is 17 different sides to every story! --------------------------------------------- Sorry Colby but I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. I "think" every story has 2 sides. However if the person is a liar, then yes I can see there being 17 sides to every story.  To Colby and Marty.  I've never had any issues with either of you. I consider both of you my friends because we have talked over the years on different sites and in person. But I understand we are probably not anymore? I looked at Jason as a friend over the years and I treated him like one too, but it was never about a friendship it was about a job I hired him to do. I'm thrilled that both of you will stand up for Jason after all of this!!! That's what friends are for!!! I know I had one friend that was the complete opposite! We stopped being friends after 8 years over different issues, so I admire both of you guys for helping your friend out, however why did it take you this long to reply to any comments? This rrrmarie person can't get their story straight it's terrible. I know this person is not a friend of either of you and I'm not sure why this person is writing all of this on a thread about people they don't even know? _______________________________________ And for the record again. Here is why I stayed for so long at Hill's Hot Rods.  June 2006 – doors dropped off when I met Jason. Told him my plans, goals, past, dreams etc.September 2006, told in person at a car show by Jason that my doors were almost finished. (Since I have already said the bed and doors are my fault, I will drop this issue with the damage since I took it to him unannounced. Since this is his word vs mine. I will drop the issue about him telling me that work was done. Fair?)

June – November 2006. I never expected any work since it was the Sema crunch and I was just now on his list.

December 2006 - since I was told work was done, I dropped off my bed unannounced at the old shop so he could start on my bed cover when he had time. My dad and I had a huge project that started on January 1st. It was only us 2 and we remodeled a 6,000 square foot church auditorium in only 7 weeks. We worked over 600 hours each to finish the job and I knew I wouldn’t have any time to go to Lubbock period. I did call and check up on progress though.

March 2007. I went to Lubbock and talked to Jason, nothing was done. I checked in with Jason and a few months went by and I heard Jason’s mom had become sick. I was planning on talking to Jason at the next show but I found out that his mom passed away and he wasn’t going to the show. This was around August 2007. I went to Lubbock sometime after that and Jason told me that his mom passing away and then another death in his family really took a lot out of him and it was hard for him to come into work. I completely understand so I knew I would just have to wait. Later he rebuilt his Blazer and took it to Sema in November 2007.

November - December 2007. Is the holiday season so I knew things are slow around that time. I remember when I talked to him at Sema, Jason told me that he was ready to start on the Dodge and he would be picking up Travis’ Ford and taking it back to Lubbock.

Jan-April 2008, Back again to remodel the rest of the church. Overall the church is probably around 9,000+ square feet and this time it was a 3 man crew. I then wrote Jason my personal letter in April 2008 because I was losing focus on my truck. He then said “I don’t see a problem making SEMA 09 the goal for completion.”  I checked in over the next few months. I planned to talk to him at Texas Heat Wave in July 2008, but he was closing the deal on his new 24,000 square foot shop.

July-November 2008 (Sema Crunch) I checked in with him but never expected anything since Sema was coming up and I was not in the rotation. His yellow and white C-10 and what used to his Chevy SSR... made it to Sema the same year in 2008. After Sema I was invited to the grand opening of the new shop and I was told he was READY TO START!

Dec 13th – Open house, barely talked to Jason and I never got to ask about my truck.

Working my job as a carpenter on Christmas and Christmas Eve to finish a job that HAD to be done before January 1st.

First week in January – Called Jason and setup a meeting to go over my truck the next week.

The next week at Lubbock – Went over my list. He told me to bring my truck and money.

January 31st – Gathered my parts and hauled my TRUCK (cab and chassis) down to Lubbock. I gave him $1,000 cash and wrote him a check for $4,000. He now has everything he needs, my truck, parts, my list of mods and my money, cash in hand too… $5,000 total + parts.

Checked in the next few months and got no where. We planned to have my frame at Texas Heat Wave in July 2009 but that didn’t happen.

August – October 2009. Miserable and ready to give up. Did all my thinking, talked to others customers of Jason’s and finally decided to pick it up and move on.

October 10th, 2009 – Didn’t like how it ended it and how others were treated and how I had to “fight” to get back what was mine. So I begin to write my story…

Present………………

I will not debate on issues about “he said this, and he said that” because talk is cheap. I gave you my story in FULL detail of the past 40 MONTHS from start to finish so take it for what you will. Like I said in my story…

“I know some people will try to defend him, but this was never about a friendship. I hired him to do a job and I never asked for special privileges. It doesn’t matter what he has done to help you in your life, he has done nothing but hurt mine.”

As for rrrmarie... I'll deal with this person tomorrow night if I have time.

For someone to call someone else childish and immature and talk like this. Just wow! Definitely not a lady, and "cowboy up", really! Do people really say that! I thought it was just a bumper sticker thing. Nothing short of amazing! Good luck to both Jason and Jance.

To rrrmarie,

“Hey Girl Hey!” I would just like to personally thank you for reading my story “word for word”! Since you don’t know me at all, I will tell you about myself.

I am a quite, quick witty, sarcastic, smart aleck, standoffish individual that speaks when spoken too. However, above all of that, I AM A CHRISTIAN! I have been raised in a Christian household my entire life and I come from a long line of non-denominational preachers on both sides of my family.

I always try to see the good in people and give them the benefit of the doubt however when you are the nice guy, you always finish last and sometimes you get burned time and time again no matter what or who you deal with. Cussing me out and calling me names is just plain stupid and pointless. Anyone can hide behind a computer and say whatever they want.

Tonneau Gate is a “hit or miss” idea for anyone PERIOD. It doesn’t go with every trucks theme and it wouldn’t work for all uses of someone’s truck. What you think makes no difference to me. I know people will buy it when the time comes.

Since I become public with Tonneau Gate in 2004, I have a list of several hundred people who have signed my petition to help get it in production. Why is not in production after almost 6 years? Well I’ve been close to signing on the dotted line several times and the deals have fallen through.

One deal was in the works for several months and nothing come of it. Two more deals stopped because it wouldn’t be worth a partnership in the long run and one company strung me along for 6 months before we split ways. They wanted to cheapen MY product by using cheap materials and altering my design into something that no one would buy, not even myself. I’m the kind of person that would rather buy a higher price quality item, than just a part I “can” afford at a cheaper price. In the end the quality is never the same. I don’t want MY name on MY product if it’s going to be poorly made. I would rather it never be on the market before I allow that to happen. PERIOD

One of the top tonneau cover manufacturer’s actually stole one of my design features from my patent back when I was patent pending in 2002 after I sent them my information. I checked and I can’t sue them because it was only a design feature. They have incorporated MY feature into their product line up since 2004 and they are still making money off of it today.

I have had two magazine press releases for Tonneau Gate and I even have one of the top mail order mini truck catalogs on hold to distribute MY product once it is in production. I even had a guy this weekend at a show; ask me if I could build him one for his new truck.

The reason why I am not building them individually is because of cost. A one off cover for every person that comes along would not be worth it for them. A mold will have to be made and then go from there etc etc.

However I will agree with you on one thing. I am “girly” in the sense that I am human who makes mistakes and I do let my emotions play apart in my life. Since you read my story “word for word” you might want to read the pictures too, because you will realize that it’s more than just a truck! It’s my life! And on top of that, this is only about 40% of my story over the past 11 years and my personal life was not included as much as it could have been.

I’ve given up a lot in my personal life to gain a business life and when my friend told me his story about how Jason kept his truck and now he needs it back so he can sell it, so he can afford to get married… Yes I did break down and cry my eyes out because I can understand his pain and what he is going through! I have passed up such opportunities for a business adventure that I keep getting screwed over on. So you will have to excuse me for handling myself in an “immature”, “unprofessional”, “girlish” manner that weakens myself and my manhood because I have a heart and passion to continue to believe in people when they given me their word. It is my greatest weakness!

If you don’t believe my story about Jason Hill you would be overwhelmed with the knowledge that I have received from reliable sources since I made my story public. I will not discuss other people’s issues about him because it is not my place to do so. Everything from a former employee, to other past clients that got screwed. It’s just plain shocking!

And for what it’s worth Marie, I have a black and white cat named Oreo that I have had since I was in middle school. So as long as she doesn’t mind what kind of a “girly” man I am, I’m good to go! Here kitty kitty…

I don't like people posting random things if they don't know Jason either, this rrrmarie person DOES need to be deleted but I want to see her reply to my post first. How am I punishing you and your truck if you're going to Hill's no matter what? Jason is your friend so I wouldn't expect you to go anywhere else, so why would it matter what I say? I actually DON'T hate Jason! I just hate how everything happened. I did consider him a friend until the day I left. I didn't want anyone else to promote his work with show coverage images if someone doesn't know my story. That maybe be wrong on my part so I can see your frustration on that. However, I have already removed ALL of my Hill's Hot Rods images from my show coverage since 2004. I know NOT everyone has a bad experience with Jason Hill like I have and you will hear some success stories from Hill's. This is my experience, so I told my story. Everyone else has that same right too.I'm not running and hiding, but if you want to speak to me about this further, you can always email me, call me or maybe we could meet up and talk in person sometime Colby? If we continue to go back and forth in this thread, this will only keep this thread on the main page for more people to see. Good or bad. Thanks!
