---------------------------------------------Originally posted by Buckysheezythe truck (cab and chassis) were taking to the shop december 13th 2008 at the new hills shop. there is even a picture of the truck being delieverd with the bare metal frame at the new shop that wasnt open in 2006. he took the fenders and bed in 2006. so there ya go brotha. so how is jason supposed to build the truck of this dudes dreams, without the truck? i mean he does good work but he isnt a magician. ---------------------------------------------You could not be more wrong Marty. December 13th, 2008 was the Open House. You were there... I took my truck to him on January 31st, 2009 at the new shop. I took him my DOORS and BED in 2006 to his old shop. Not sure why you said FENDERS if you know your facts? Have you ever had H.H.R. do a complete build for Sema for you? I regret "parting" out my truck to him and I will explain this later on again... ---------------------------------------------Originally posted by Cheese there is 17 different sides to every story! --------------------------------------------- Sorry Colby but I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. I "think" every story has 2 sides. However if the person is a liar, then yes I can see there being 17 sides to every story. To Colby and Marty. I've never had any issues with either of you. I consider both of you my friends because we have talked over the years on different sites and in person. But I understand we are probably not anymore? I looked at Jason as a friend over the years and I treated him like one too, but it was never about a friendship it was about a job I hired him to do. I'm thrilled that both of you will stand up for Jason after all of this!!! That's what friends are for!!! I know I had one friend that was the complete opposite! We stopped being friends after 8 years over different issues, so I admire both of you guys for helping your friend out, however why did it take you this long to reply to any comments? This rrrmarie person can't get their story straight it's terrible. I know this person is not a friend of either of you and I'm not sure why this person is writing all of this on a thread about people they don't even know? _______________________________________ And for the record again. Here is why I stayed for so long at Hill's Hot Rods. June 2006 – doors dropped off when I met Jason. Told him my plans, goals, past, dreams etc.September 2006, told in person at a car show by Jason that my doors were almost finished. (Since I have already said the bed and doors are my fault, I will drop this issue with the damage since I took it to him unannounced. Since this is his word vs mine. I will drop the issue about him telling me that work was done. Fair?)
June – November 2006. I never expected any work since it was the Sema crunch and I was just now on his list.
December 2006 - since I was told work was done, I dropped off my bed unannounced at the old shop so he could start on my bed cover when he had time. My dad and I had a huge project that started on January 1st. It was only us 2 and we remodeled a 6,000 square foot church auditorium in only 7 weeks. We worked over 600 hours each to finish the job and I knew I wouldn’t have any time to go to Lubbock period. I did call and check up on progress though.
March 2007. I went to Lubbock and talked to Jason, nothing was done. I checked in with Jason and a few months went by and I heard Jason’s mom had become sick. I was planning on talking to Jason at the next show but I found out that his mom passed away and he wasn’t going to the show. This was around August 2007. I went to Lubbock sometime after that and Jason told me that his mom passing away and then another death in his family really took a lot out of him and it was hard for him to come into work. I completely understand so I knew I would just have to wait. Later he rebuilt his Blazer and took it to Sema in November 2007.
November - December 2007. Is the holiday season so I knew things are slow around that time. I remember when I talked to him at Sema, Jason told me that he was ready to start on the Dodge and he would be picking up Travis’ Ford and taking it back to Lubbock.
Jan-April 2008, Back again to remodel the rest of the church. Overall the church is probably around 9,000+ square feet and this time it was a 3 man crew. I then wrote Jason my personal letter in April 2008 because I was losing focus on my truck. He then said “I don’t see a problem making SEMA 09 the goal for completion.” I checked in over the next few months. I planned to talk to him at Texas Heat Wave in July 2008, but he was closing the deal on his new 24,000 square foot shop.
July-November 2008 (Sema Crunch) I checked in with him but never expected anything since Sema was coming up and I was not in the rotation. His yellow and white C-10 and what used to his Chevy SSR... made it to Sema the same year in 2008. After Sema I was invited to the grand opening of the new shop and I was told he was READY TO START!
Dec 13th – Open house, barely talked to Jason and I never got to ask about my truck.
Working my job as a carpenter on Christmas and Christmas Eve to finish a job that HAD to be done before January 1st.
First week in January – Called Jason and setup a meeting to go over my truck the next week.
The next week at Lubbock – Went over my list. He told me to bring my truck and money.
January 31st – Gathered my parts and hauled my TRUCK (cab and chassis) down to Lubbock. I gave him $1,000 cash and wrote him a check for $4,000. He now has everything he needs, my truck, parts, my list of mods and my money, cash in hand too… $5,000 total + parts.
Checked in the next few months and got no where. We planned to have my frame at Texas Heat Wave in July 2009 but that didn’t happen.
August – October 2009. Miserable and ready to give up. Did all my thinking, talked to others customers of Jason’s and finally decided to pick it up and move on.
October 10th, 2009 – Didn’t like how it ended it and how others were treated and how I had to “fight” to get back what was mine. So I begin to write my story…
Present………………
I will not debate on issues about “he said this, and he said that” because talk is cheap. I gave you my story in FULL detail of the past 40 MONTHS from start to finish so take it for what you will. Like I said in my story…
“I know some people will try to defend him, but this was never about a friendship. I hired him to do a job and I never asked for special privileges. It doesn’t matter what he has done to help you in your life, he has done nothing but hurt mine.”
As for rrrmarie... I'll deal with this person tomorrow night if I have time.
