ive bent a lot of tubing over the years and have never had a tube flatten out after bend in the gorrect die. the only thing that i have had flatten out that was my mistake was trying to bend 1"  in an 1 1/4" die.

it may have to do with the type of bender your using also. I use a jd2 model 3, and it pulls the tube around the die to bend it, and my flat spot is created at the center of the bend, if its over 45%. With your model 32, i think it wraps the tube around the die instead ofpulling it.... maybee thats part of it...?  idk, but i can throw up some pics of flat spots that i get on erw tube when i get home also, its hardly noticeable, but its thare when you mic it.  Taylor

I bend 1.25" DOM .120 wall and ERW .188 wall on my Pro Tools 105 bender without any flat spots.  Its the type of bender you have and the way the tubing is pulled up to the die and not drrawn around the die.  Much like the crappy benders that push a die up to the tube supported by two rollers.   I make sure all my tubing is clean and free of any imperfections before bending as well as keeping my dies clean and GREASED!   I'm sure you can minimize the amount of flattening on the tube by altering a few thing on your bender.  Have you called the manufacture yet?

Yeah, I gave jd2 a call but he didn't even know what I was talking about when I mentioned that it was erw.  I'm going to mess with it some more tomorrow and see if I can't figure something out to stop it from getting the flat spots.  Definitely throw some pics up of what yours is doing Taylor so I can see if its doing the same as mine.  I thought jd2 was supposed to be a good bender and for the price I paid you would surely think it was and shouldn't need any mods done to it but I might be wrong.
