My truck is pretty reliable... the engine proved itself to be strong...  But I live in NY... and I wanna make really long distance trips with it for shows from here to TX and FL.  Its a 79, laying frame with pretty good quality work done on the frame...   yet I am still afraid to travel that far.  Ive never had an older ride like that to know how these engines will handle on the long haul...

it seems like your issues arent with the bags but your motor by what you say....... my last vehicle on air was driven 40k+ with no major issues it was an accord so no motor issues and my only problems were with tire wear from camber the air system was flawless but i also am on the west coast   if your setup is right youll have no issues.........what do you think semis run on and they run coast to coast 24/7

drive it, if anything happens, then thats just part of it..... even brand new vehicles break down.. I drove my silver suburban 1450 miles once, practically none stop, fuel pump went out on interstate, got towed to auto zone, fixed it parking lot and went on... was fun.. Your suburban is sik....

i put 55K + miles on a bagged and body dropped truck, drove it across country 3 times and won more long distance awards than any other award with that truck, as long as the truck is maintained properly and has suspension modifications are done where they are worry free, and I mean not even carring a extra air bag or air line as in the case for me, then you shouldnt have any issues

I'd say from NKY to Millington for me. 7ish hours I believe. Threw some stockers on the front, nice wheels in bed, air'd the front up a lil higher then the ass and off I went. Went through every damn CD I own lol

Believe it nor not, I've put a 110K on mine in the five years i've had it built. Only issues i've had was a broken hyme on the rear canti setup and have replaced the bags in the rear once.
