we have a 60,000 btu kerosene reddy heater.  its the jey looking heaters.   it does a good job.  heats our 24x32 garage in about 20 to 30 mins.

turn an old 55 gallon drum into a wood burning stove, cut a setion out for the front loader hinge it back on for the door with a latch, drill a few breather holes into it to allow oxygen in and pipe it through the roof.we made one last winter, it heated the oversized 2 stall garage damn good. ive moved since and got a small 1 car garage now and using a 50,000BTU ready heater.

I have been thinking about doing this too, I leave my house around 4:30 in the morning and driving my truck is nearly impossible at that time in the cold.

When i replaced the furnace in my house, i put the old one from the house in the garage, and hooked it up to my natural gas.  Works wonderfully, when im not out thare, it keeps it at about 40 degres, when i am out there, it only takes a minute or so to snap it up to  70 degres. My garage is insulated pretty well also, so that helps alot too.     Taylor

I picked up a 175,000 btu kerosene bullet heater at tractor supply. It was like 350 bucks on sale. My buddy and i work in a 35 x 22 ft barn with a loft and real high ceiling. It heats the place up pretty fast and runs on kerosene diesel or heating oil.

I just open the garage door and let the 70degree air in
