The floor is going to be painted to match the exterior. The expanding foam was used to get out all the humps, bumps, and imperfections in the floor. Then the fiberglass layers go down over the foam to make a strong panel. We decided to go this route instead of a sheetmetal floor because it will still kinda look factory... the way it flows into the front, center and sides.

i know you guys know your stuff, but be careful on glassing over that foam...I've done it before on some little stuff and its been a nightmare as the resin eats through some of the foam's air bubbles leaving it uneven and with plenty of air holes

Are the glass pieces going to be removable?

--------------------------------------------- Originally posted by BagD72Chevy Are the glass pieces going to be removable? --------------------------------------------- you know ive found there is really no point in makin panels to be removed and it really ruins the look of the floor too this is the third floor ive done and they get faster and faster everytime. whats really cool is u can bond ur center consoles to the floor. now yes it would take some planning but i think it would be cool.

Ok Jimmy spray this thing in primer and get some good pics. I am ready for Tre5 to knock out the rest and get this thing going. Can't wait to see it all smooth and shaved. Hurry before Jeremy gets backed up again with projects.
