black pipe for 4 link bars?

thats what i thought at the steel place here all they got is black pipe.

whats the going price for dom per foot?

1.5" .120 I pay about $5-6.50 a foot depending on the grade and where I get it from. I am usually buying the 1020 DOM at the higher price end because I get free delivery from that place.

FYI a couple places online sale dom by the foot.  Suicidedoors and Ballistic to name a few.

 You really should use tubing like everyone is saying......but for fucks sake your not going to die using it for some upper link bars on a mini... Im not saying you should go out and buy black pipe for structural use....just use your head on what your using it for. And just to throw it out there....i built this front sub frame on my old civic....from pipe. Daily driven on juice for  a year before i sold it!

Just going to add another "no" with the rest of them. The cost of DOM is far cheaper than the cost of repairing your truck, or worse, if the black pipe breaks. There are several places online you can get it from if you can't get it locally.

Daily driven on juice for  a year before i sold it!--------------------------------------------- i with you here, ive been building trucks (AND DRIVING) since early 90s, if you know how to weld and use a minimum of shedual40 pipe, you will be fine. i have done it and it is fine, the major weight of your rig is resting on the bags. the link bars are more or less taking a horizontal impact not a load bearing weight. thats just like everyone telling the guys that have been around for a while that its unsafe to weld NUTs in the end of the tubing to thread your heims into. for one ive always done this, two my 3/4 ton dodge WITH A CUMMINS AND 41" tires and 12" lift, the from long arms have 1 1/8 nuts welded into 1 3/4 hrew with heims from suicide doors.been jumped, and daily drove hard for the last 2.5 years and still going.   IF YOUR CONFIDENT IN WELDING, GET THE PIPE AND TRY IT, IF YOU DONT THEN LEAVE IT ALONE.
