Don't forget if you run the bars with the intersect at the axle, depending on the type of axle, it might be less desirable. If you have a cast pumpkin (s-10, chevy, dodge, ranger, some fords) welding to the cast metal is not as strong and more prep will have to be done to make it stronger. If you have the "ford 9in style" (toyota,nissan, ford, etc) you can weld to the top of the pumpkin with ease.
