Thats awsome Robbie.Thank you for the info. Were are you at now the last time i seen you was at Mcgyvers? I went and looked at the diesel again today and it has a new Ford turbo,ARP head studs, new head gasket ,new egr cooler all these were weak points in the 6.0 but it looks like he has had all these problems updated. The only thing i found that i did not like was that the o ring from the pump up to the fuel rail leaks and lets the diesel leak back a bit not keeping fuel up in the rails for easy starts when cold and it needs a wheel alingment more just some fine tunning would be a better way to say it and a track bar as it is lifted 8".I had my buddy who is a Ford diesel truck guru and even he said with a few small dollar items its a sweet deal.

remeber with a 8inch lift cause of bigger rubber towing you will be breaking alot more sorry to say,
like im on a 2 inch level for 35's and gonna do a 7inch long arm kit to do 40inch rubber and ill probably be breaking alot is it that dark blue one? if so that one has seen some rough driving around,
yeah i got out of mcginers they hated air ride and thats what i love, and since nick and shane left it was nothing but bashing about them,
but im out in spruce at khaos kustoms mostly doing stock resto jobs like doing a 70 dodge coronet right now, but the owner is pretty crazy about diesels so if you ever need some diesel work let me know, then got my own deal going on for parts, like nadp wanted 800$ for my exhaust and i paid 320$

Hey Robbie no this truck is green and tan on the bottom. You might even know the fellow Steve from Road Demons one hell of a nice guy very honest and up front. Thats to bad they did that cause both those guys are smart guys and have lots to offer but they seem more interested in Mustang 2 stuff i guess.

yeah nicks one of the best sheet metal guys i know, and shane knows tons of connections both guys are amazing dudesyeah i have my personal thoughts on steve honestly, did he build the truck or was it built by someone else do you know? cause that would be my deciding factor for me,its true they would rather do mustang 2 stuff yeah im happy where i am, they listen and im gonna try doing some simple bag installs out of that shop plus if i need a tool they buy it, just bought a brand new english wheel and looking at plasma cutters last week,

No the guy before him did the lift and all the other stuff. When i was talking to him today he has only had it for about a year or so he only did one thing and that was the map sensor i think he said.Meet me in chat

yeah id go for it then
hes not very mechanically inclined in my eyes, so thats nice that someone else did the work
i wouldnt get a big lifted rig as your tow rig but if its what you want go for it

I have a few gas duallys and a few diesels and i will take a diesel any day of the week. The torque in the diesel is far more than the gas and you will notice that in a heartbeat when pulling a camper. The milage is about the same when unloaded but my gassers get about 7 mpg on the highway pulling 15k and my diesel gets about 13 mpg. It doesn't sound like much but when you start adding up all your trips, its a huge difference. Empty my gassers get 19-20 and the diesel gets 22-23...so pretty close. The other thing about needing anti gel in the diesel is not true. I can't think of any fuel company where i live that doesn't offer winter diesel. Around the end of october -  mid novermber they start bringing it out so that all the vehicle and construction owners have enough time to switch over. I have never had a gelling problem yet. Bottom line is if you want to pull, you should get the diesel as long as you pull enough to justify the price difference between the 2.

lorren didnt buy the diesel he was looking at cause it got traded off to someone else but as this is old you have to not just look at mileage with a diesel, if your working the truck yeah diesels are great but most diesels out there right now are mall crawlers, there is so much more maintenance work, like my diesel needs tie rods, upper/lower balljoints and wheel bearings yearly cause of the weight of the cummins, does a gas job 1 ton need that no they dont, then even a oil change is 3 times as much, then noise is a huge pain well for me im 5inch turbo back so maybe thats my own problem
i have a older 24v and most everything is a pain but i still totally love my truck cause i get 28mpg empty highway driving and 25mpg pulling the car hauler
but that said you pay as much for my 24v truck as you would for a 08 dodge gasser
