its really sad that this happened, its even more sad that a bad ass hot rod builder of such high caliber doesnt have 10 dollar a month fire and theft insurance. good luck helping him out, but the best way you could help a guy like this is to sit him down and help him iron out his business plan before he re opens.. FLAME ME ALL YOU WANT, I DONT CARE ABOUT HOW TRAGIC YOU MAY THINK IT IS, YOU HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF FIRST, IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR SOMEONE ELSES SHIT!

I'm with Josh, the real tragedy here is his customers' loss of their vehicles that I'm sure replacement will be easier said than done! His building & tools are covered. I never thought to ask a shop if my truck was covered for fire or theft or anything else before leaving it but I will now!

i completely agree...dont get me wrong!  thats the first thing i worry about too, is the customers.  what i was getting at is that they are both at a loss is all.  it sucks on both ends.  my insurance is $126 a month and that covers everything from toilet paper to my paint booth.  well worth the minimal head ache to prevent the extra large head ache.

Josh is 100 % correct on this!I feel bad for all involved, but  insurance  is in business & personal life the most important thing!!I can not imagine  a customer leaving his or her ride & not inquiring on this issue!!I'm afraid  his problems have just begun!!

How did the fire start? In a couple pics it looks like there is a pile of chopped wood, not something i'd have in the middle of a shop really? Very tragic for the shop owner, the owners of the cars, and the cars themselves. Insurance or not its tragic. Hopefully he gets back on his feet, and things get sorted out.

the one pic shows what looks like a torch cart with only one bottle that's laying on the ground. shouldn't there be another bottle? did it ignite and explode? pile of chopped would seems odd too. wonder if all the batteries in the vehicles were unhooked. anyone know what caused it? regardless, yes, it's very tragic! hope he can start building more badass rides in the near future, but it looks like this is gonna take some time to get through.
