Hey there. I hate to ask you this, because it isnt your deal anymore, but I bought some BLF arms for my C10 with the uniball upper. I didnt receive the upper crossshafts, or upper uniball spacers or hardware. I see that you sell a cool bolt with your arms that allow good articulation. I would like to buy some. Also, do you know if the stock cross shafts fit? If not, can I buy what I need from you?

Ed, I actually changed up my design from the ones i produced when i was at blf. There were a few issues with that old design blf used that i all ways didnt like, and when i started making my own kits, i fixed all of them, so im not sure my caps or spacers will work for you.... but i still may be able to help you.

Shoot me an email to info@michiganmetalworks.com

I will see what i can get together for you to make those arms work.

Few product updates,

These are 1 Ton dually control arms, set up for a 3/4 ton hub. I can produce them either way, for the standard 1 ton hub or the 3/4 ton hub, at any custom length you would need. I have a secondary design for these arms as well, that i will be doing on the next order probably. Will lay on a 24 with drop spindles.

Just some quick cell phone pics, been a bit too swamped in the shop lately to lay them all out and get pics. I will set them out and take good pics of them before they ship.

Ok, these im pretty excited about. A few months ago another company started producing control arms very similar to my 3pc flat plate control arms, so i figured it was time to change it up a bit.

These are my new V3 S-10 Control arms, they are the ONLY s10 ball joint control arm that uses a cup instead of a plate, which allows it to look alot cleaner, and completely different. They come standard with a machined billet aluminum cap that gives them a good look.

The cost of the arm is 259$ and it includes free powder coat in any color, and free shipping anywhere in the US. Also, for only a 10$ extra charge, i will ball mill ANYTHING you want into the billet caps. Club logos, shop logos, weiners... whatever. I all ready have alot of club logos drawn up as well and ready to rock.

I had a customer order a while ago for some 2007 Silverado control arms, and he wanted to run them with another companys weld in bracket kit for the upper bag mount, and control arm brackets. Well, for reasons i wont get into, he decided he did not want to use that companys kit once he got it, so i decided to whip one up of my own, with an 08 i was working on in the shop.

So, here is the kit I produced, to work with the previous set of 07-10 control arms i made a while ago. Wraps onto the frame of any 07-10 Silverado truck, and welds in place. Locates the upper bag mount, upper control arm mounts, and shock mounts.

taylor how much camber you gonna have with your 07+ kit since you didnt move the upper control arms to ontop of the frame?

That bracket pictured is actually the version of the bracket that is intended to be used with drop spindles, which would correct the camber issues that would be involved in not raising the upper arms to the top of the frame rails. I did bring the bracket mounting locations up a bit from stock on this bracket as well, but as you can see not to the top side of the frame. this is the kit the customer brought to me so i had to build this specific bracket around what he had and wanted to use......

The actual version of the bracket that I built off the 08 here was intended to be used with stock spindles will raise the UCA mounts ontop of the frame, and inside just a bit more as well, to take care of those camber problems. I only ended up raising them about 2" off the top of the frame, and it worked pretty good, the arms also help narrow up the track width just a bit as well.

Woah, vince.

sorry you feel that way bro, but this customer said he spoke to you about this over the phone, and you agreed with him that the kit you sent should not have had missing welds and cracks in the corners.... apparently you told him to send it back to you, he then told me he didnt feel safe running the kit, and asked me to make one for him within his requirments. I took the job on not expecing to run into any issues with him using your bracket, the only option left was to make one myself that worked for him, i didnt have time to spend sending kits back and forth to you, to get one right. Did he not contact you concenring this things?

I have no intentions on selling a kit like yours because i have no means to aquire a drop spindle for these trucks, if i did, it would allready be on my website, becuase ive allready gotten a half dozen emails about people interested in it in the past 2 days, and ive directed them your way... Any kits i produce for these truck will use stock spindles, and obviously have a different style bracket. The only reason i had to even make a bracket like this is because he didnt feel comfortable running yours because of its condition, that is not my decision, I had to make the guy something for his truck, within his needs....

I made my bracket off of the 08 chevy i had in my shop, it was the only way to get it right.

Well, i got the C-10 arms back from jeff, so that i could powder coat them that rust color. I LOVE this damn color, its such a good shade, espically with the flat black x-shaft. They turned out great! and are back on their way to you, jeff.

Also got the design for my 1ton dually arms wrapped out, assembled and sent out to Kicker.

Got another project that im going to do a few step by step pictures of. It started life as a 12x12x12 solid chunk of 6061 aluminum. Ill post some pics of that all this week as i work on it. Going to be a fun CNC project.
