ok, i know this isn't safe, it's dangerous ect. i know, i know. this is just a question. im not planning on doing it, i don't need any negativity of how it should't be done.  i have heard of several people not running any rear brakes at all on minis. has anybody ever done this? or heard of it? i know that it's only 25% of the braking force, i've just had this on my mind and had to ask the experts! keep in mind these were quality built minis, trucks that were driven on the street, not hacked up junk, or trailer queens. i just had to see what kind of reactions i would get.

I had the rear brakes on my Yukon go on me and it sucked only having fronts. Stoping felt weird and it was a noticable diference in stoping power and distance.

Same thing happened to me in my parents Pathfinder.  I was scared to drive the thing it felt so bad.  I ended up driving it to the garage a few blocks from my house really early in the morning so there wouldn't be many people on the streets.

i havent had rear brakes on my hardbody forover 2 years now .....When the body drop was done ...the rear brakeline on the firewall got cut.....Truck stops fine and all...Just sometimes it likes to skid ..Ive just grown used to it....Plus im afraid that if i fix it...my truck might fall apart when i brake for the first time ... This is something that is on my to do list though...

I had a couple friends that had turbo couriers which couldn't fit rear brakes with their rear end/wheel/tire combo. They took a bit longer to stop and could be sketchy at times slowing down from high speeds.

yeah and if you dont run back brakes you goin to be changin you brake rotors out  because there gonna keep warping

Why are you not able to run rear brakes?  It can be done, I've seen some hotrods without any, but they were mostly trailer queens.

its fine as long as you dont run a driveshaft either.

Well, your right on part of your comment.  there is only about 25% of stopping on a rear drum setup.  some of these other people sounds like they had disc brakes all the way around.  If you do go without your rear brakes make sure that you have a master cylinder that is for drums on rear and disc on front.  i would advise going with bigger brake rotor's and multi-piston's caliper's.  I would rather have brakes on front and rear, but it's all in what you want boss-man.
